Wedding Favours

The wedding favour custom originated from Italy. Wedding favours, traditionally called "bomboniere", were made from five sugar-coated almonds gathered together in different tulles or nets. The almonds signified health, happiness, long-life and fertility, which were given by the Bride to all her female guests. The favour would be place on guest's tables and they would be kept as a keepsake, as a memory of the Wedding Day.

Contemporary favours:If you are having an informal wedding then you might want to offer your guests something a little different. More and more couples are doing away with convention and giving their guest something very unique and personal to say thank you.

Samui Wedding, which provide you with kits to make your own wedding favours, you can then spend as much or as little as your budget allows.
The most popular alternative wedding favours include:

  • Scented candles
  • Teddy bears
  • Crackers
  • Silk scarp
  • Handmade soap
  • Miniature bottles of wine or spirits
  • Fridge magnets
  • Wedding favours can be customised to coordinate with your wedding theme, which would then enhance any table decoration.
